Website Update

I have recently been trying to give the Website a bit of an update & revamp which has been long overdue.

As you may have notice there are a lot of new photographs - I would like to thank the following club members for their photo contributions, either by supplying, or allowing me to steal their photos:

Bernie Web

Steve & Alison Smith

Jim Coughlan

Thankyou

The Club

Our membership is drawn from the surrounding area along the Waveney valley and South Norfolk and North Suffolk area.

We hold regular Social or Business meetings every first Friday of the month (see calendar) either at the Maltings Meadow Sports Ground, or our current meeting room at Bungay Sports Hall. If you are interested in joining us you will be made most welcome and are suggested to contact either the Chairman, membership secretary or General Secretary (see Contacts)

Being one of the oldest clubs in the area we are interesting in all branches of cycling, whether your interest is sporting or recreational.

For those interested in sport we are affiliated to the British Cycling Federation (BCF), Road Time Trials Council (RTTC), British Cyclo Cross Association (BCCA) but for those of you with a more relaxed approach we are affiliated to the Cyclists Touring Club (CTC).

Additionally we have representation upon the National Cycling Association (NCA) Essex & Suffolk Border Combine Council, ESBCC, British Schools Cycling Association (BSCA) & Eastern Counties Cycling Association (ECCA).

Touring – Cycle Touring is a great way to spend a holiday

Mountain Biking / Cyclo Cross – The club has a separate ‘Off-Road’ section and encourages off road racing and leisure riding

Time Trials – The ‘Grass Roots’ of the sport, riders race against the clock from five miles for juveniles to ten miles up to 100 miles, 12 hour and 24 hour events.

Road Racing – Various open road races are held throughout East Anglia during the season.

Audax / Sportive / Charity Rides - Audax & Sportive's are endurance challenge rides over set distances (50/100/200km). Charity rides are great for supporting both local, national & international charities while challenging yourself on your bike.

Hill Climbs – An autumn activity, the club has its own championship and there are several open events locally

Track Racing – Mainly in the form of grass track in East Anglia, which hosts several open events.
