Friday October saw the annual Rollers Competition take place in the Sports Hall at Bungay High School.

Below are some of the snaps take by our resident Club Photographer Bernie Webb, from whom copies may be obtained via webadmin

The Clock .. the hands rotate as the rollers are rotated, connected via a speedo mechanism, allows equal racing between competitors

Carl Read warming up, full of confidence. Its only with much training can most only then master the rollers

Terry warming up, only to fall off in a few minutes .. where's a helper when you need one?

Discresion being the better part of valour .. just you keep a tight hold!
Terry's monster for the unrestricted competition .. like a tandem .. a chainwheel rotates and an intermediate chainwheel rotates, attached to a bigger chainwheel which rotates a small sprocket on the rear disc. Watching and waiting with anticipation, the Mildenhall team awaits their turn.
Keith warming up on his own Whilst others prefer a helper
Then the competition commences .. two helpers please! Dean in concentration
Keith grits his teeth, extracting all he can A benefit of rollers .. a flat playing field allows everyone to compete upon equal terms
Dean in full flow Terry giving his all upon his 'monster'
Pete revving to his full potential Mark awaiting the 'GO!'
Dean in full flow showing how it should be done

And receiving his just deserts. The competition trophy being presented by our judge for the night Mick Gambling
